- Security Guards/Officers renew Dallas Law certification every two (2) years. Security guards must complete four hours of refresher training every two (2) years and pass a multiple-choice test with a minimum score of 70% before renewing their certification.
- A 90-day late renewal period is available for license renewal. Security officers can renew during this time but cannot work with an expired license.
